Taxes on transport fuels will be lowered in 2026 and 2027. The change will reduce the price of petrol and diesel by about three cents per litre.

Cutting electricity tax, raising heating taxes
The electricity tax on industry and data centres will be lowered significantly, while taxes on heating fuels will be increased. At the same time, the energy tax refund scheme for energy-intensive industry will be phased out.

Reforming vehicle tax penalties and enforcement
Unauthorised use of a decommissioned or unregistered vehicle will incur only an administrative additional tax instead of a fine. At the same time, automated enforcement of vehicle tax using cameras and licence plate recognition devices will be enabled.
