Updating animal damage compensation references
Technical updates will be made to the act on the compensation of damage caused by protected animals. References in the act to EU State aid rules and the Nature Conservation Act will be corrected to correspond to current legislation.

Reforming compensation for predator damage
Damage caused by large carnivores to domestic animals, dogs, crops and other movable property will be compensated in full. At the same time, the increased additional compensation paid for exceptionally large reindeer damage will be abolished and reporting requirements for reindeer damage will be tightened.

Removing protection for jackdaws
The jackdaw will be classified as an unprotected bird in the Hunting Act. Jackdaws may be trapped and killed without an official derogation permit outside the breeding season.
