Appeals against data protection delays
Citizens will be able to appeal to the administrative court if the Data Protection Ombudsman fails to process a case or inform them of the processing timeframe within three months. In addition, identifying a person solely by their personal identity code and name will be prohibited.

Improving legal protection for asylum seekers
Asylum seekers will be granted state-funded legal counsel at the asylum interview, and the appeal period for decisions will be extended to 30 days. In addition, private lawyers assisting asylum seekers will be remunerated on the basis of actual hours worked rather than a fixed lump-sum fee.

Organising port service supervision and complaints
Traficom (the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency) will begin handling complaints relating to the application of EU port services regulation. The agency will be granted the right to obtain necessary information from port operators and to impose sanctions for breaches of the rules.

Implementing card payment interchange fee regulation
National supervision and sanctions will be established for the EU caps and rules on card payment interchange fees. The Financial Supervisory Authority will supervise compliance with the rules, and merchants will be provided with an out-of-court dispute resolution mechanism for payment disputes.
