A new forestry support scheme
State subsidies for private forest owners would be reformed under a new seven-year incentive scheme. Support for seedling stand management could be applied for after the work is completed, and instead of ditching peatland forests, support would be provided for water protection and comprehensive planning.

New water and marine protection support
The state will begin supporting water protection by directly providing tangible services and goods instead of financial grants. Landowners, businesses, municipalities and associations, among others, can apply for the support.

Abolishing official approvals for water testing
Companies carrying out water quality monitoring studies will no longer be required to hold separate official approval. The quality of studies will instead be ensured through general sector standards and certified quality management systems.
