Limiting municipal waste management responsibility

Statutory municipal waste management responsibility will be limited to ordinary homes and holiday homes, leaving care homes and other housing units for health and social services to manage their waste themselves. At the same time, Tukes (the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency) will be tasked with supervising compliance with EU battery requirements.
