The rules on the special fishing permit quota for the Teno river will be specified and free fishing permits will be provided for permanent local residents under 18 years of age. At the same time, fishing permit sales duties and supervision in the fisheries area will be clarified.

Stricter fishing penalties and Lapland permits
A person who unlawfully catches endangered fish will have to compensate the conservation value of the fish to the state. At the same time, residents of Enontekiö, Inari and Utsjoki will obtain the right to a seasonal permit for state-owned salmon and trout waters in their home municipality.

Delaying Teno fishing permit transfer
Arranging the sale of fishing permits for the Teno River will remain with the Lapland ELY Centre (Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment) for another two years. The transfer of the task to the new local fisheries area is postponed until the beginning of 2021.

Reforming Tana fishing permits and fees
Tourist fishing permits for the Tana river can be granted free of charge or at very low cost to persons under 18 years of age. At the same time, minimum fees will be laid down for permit sellers, and they will be obliged to report buyers' details to the catch register.
