Easing coronavirus restrictions on venues
The statutory two-metre safe distance requirement and infection incidence threshold will be removed from coronavirus restrictions on customer premises and public spaces. Authorities will be able to impose restrictions on the use of premises more flexibly and on a more case-by-case basis than before.

Enhancing mandatory health checks and disclosure
Authorities and communicable disease control physicians will be able to order individuals or groups of people to undergo mandatory health checks to prevent the spread of a generally hazardous communicable disease. At the same time, persons exposed to infection or infected will be required to disclose their contact details to healthcare professionals.

Temporary closure of restaurants to customers
Restaurants and cafés will be closed to customers for three weeks in areas where the coronavirus epidemic is accelerating or spreading. However, takeaway sales of food and beverages will still be permitted.

Informing passengers about animal diseases
Passenger transport and postal operators will be required to provide passengers with information on serious animal diseases and movement restrictions relating to them. At the same time, Finnish Customs will be granted the right to carry out animal disease control inspections independently as executive assistance.

Preventing the spread of invasive species
The import, breeding and sale of invasive alien species will be prohibited in Finland to safeguard biodiversity. Property owners and sector businesses will be required to prevent the spread of invasive species.
