Sanctions for breaches of the obligations under the EU Energy Labelling Regulation will be added to the act, and overlapping regulation will be removed from it. The amendment clarifies the supervision and compliance of appliance energy labelling.

Denying state grants for illegal labour
State grants will, as a rule, not be awarded to an applicant who has been convicted of using illegal foreign labour. In addition, an aid amount paid in excess or in error will not need to be returned to the state if the sum is less than 100 euros.

Converting foreign death penalties into imprisonment
Finnish authorities will receive the competence to convert a death penalty imposed abroad into a prison sentence to be served in Finland. The amendment would enable the transfer and enforcement of sentences in Finland where the sentenced person is a Finnish citizen or resides in Finland.
