Expanding nurses' prescribing rights
Nurses who have completed supplementary training will be able to prescribe medicines on a limited basis also in home care, specialised medical care and publicly outsourced services. The change will speed up patients' access to care and free up doctors' working time for more demanding tasks.

Clarifying terminal care and clinic choice
An explicit obligation to organise palliative care and end-of-life care will be written into the act, and patients will be able to change their local health centre every three months. In addition, information on waiting lists in specialised medical care will be published monthly.

Direct occupational healthcare reimbursement for entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs will be able to have Kela's occupational healthcare reimbursement paid directly to a private service provider without applying for it retrospectively. In addition, information that the annual copayment ceiling for Kela taxis has been reached will be transmitted electronically to dispatch centres immediately.
