Tackling crime during imprisonment
The Criminal Sanctions Agency's supervisory powers in prisons will be enhanced and its ability to exchange information with pre-trial investigation authorities will be improved. The Criminal Sanctions Agency will be able to disclose information to the police on its own initiative, monitor prisoners' payment card accounts and participate in joint criminal intelligence.

Cross-border use of Koronavilkku
The Koronavilkku app will become interoperable with corresponding apps in other EU and EEA countries and Switzerland. Users will be able to receive alerts about potential coronavirus exposure also when travelling in these countries.

Using biometric data in crime prevention
The police and other security authorities will be permitted to use fingerprints and facial images from passports, identity cards and immigration registers to prevent and investigate serious crimes. The data may also be used to avert significant danger and to protect national security.
