Decisions and other documents from Finnish Customs will be delivered to customers primarily electronically. Paper mail will be used only when electronic communication is not possible or the customer specifically requests it.

Easier customs clearance for Åland subscriptions
A simplified procedure will be created for the taxation of newspapers and periodicals subscribed to Åland from elsewhere in Finland or the EU. Subscribers will be able to declare and pay value added tax (VAT) collectively for the entire subscription period instead of declaring each issue separately.

Permanent eastern border lorry queuing system
A permanent advance booking and queuing system for freight traffic will be established for road border crossing points between Finland and Russia. The system will smooth border crossings and enable automatic reading of vehicle registration plates.
