Reforming road toll data exchange
Legislation on electronic road toll systems will be brought up to date in line with EU regulation. Road tolls will not be introduced in Finland, but authorities will be able to exchange information with other EU countries to collect unpaid road fees.

Automating municipal financial reporting
Financial data from municipalities and joint municipal authorities will be submitted automatically directly from financial management systems to a shared data repository maintained by the State Treasury. The reform replaces previous form-based data collection and improves the timeliness and comparability of municipal finance data.

Harmonising public administration information management
A new information management act will be enacted for public administration, bringing together and harmonising the rules governing data processing, information systems and information security across public authorities. Authorities will be obliged primarily to process documents electronically and exchange information via technical interfaces.

Reforming rail transport competition and permits
