Increasing pension investment returns and funding

A new monthly minimum salary threshold of 1,600 euros will be set for workers arriving in Finland on a residence permit for an employed person. A residence permit can no longer be granted for work where the monthly salary paid falls below this threshold.

Updating the Criminal Code for regional reform
The Criminal Code will be updated to correspond to the regional and health and social services reform. Regional elections, public officials, elected officials, and subsidies granted by regions will be brought within the scope of the Criminal Code's provisions.

Stricter penalties for EU fraud
The Criminal Code will be tightened to combat fraud and misconduct directed against European Union funds. Companies can be subject to penalties for value added tax (VAT) fraud and EU fraud, and aggravated misuse of subsidies will be made punishable by imprisonment.
