    The opportunities for members of the public to comment on various environmental, noise and waste plans will be strengthened by laying down a deadline of at least 30 days for expressing opinions. At the same time, operating peat extraction areas of up to 10 hectares will be granted five years of additional time to apply for an environmental permit.
