The proposal updates the rules on the approval of mobile machinery and vehicle emissions to comply with EU requirements. In addition, the reporting of company vehicle information will be streamlined and the vehicle inspection supervision fee will be increased.

Repair shops' access to vehicle security data
Independent car repair shops and their employees will be able to order a criminal record extract to prove their reliability and obtain authorisation to access protected vehicle security information. At the same time, the authorities will receive the right to check the background information of vehicle inspectors directly from the fine register.

Mandatory insurance for rental e-scooters
Mandatory motor liability insurance will be introduced for all rental electric scooters and for light electric vehicles weighing more than 25 kilograms or having a speed exceeding 25 km/h.
