Safeguarding Sámi language rights
The Sámi Language Act will be amended so that the linguistic and cultural rights of the Sámi are preserved in connection with the health and social services and regional government reform. At the same time, the reference to the definition of a Sámi in the Act on the Sámi Parliament will be removed from the act so that the right to conduct business in Sámi does not depend on an official register definition.
