Streamlining correction of erroneous Kela decisions
Kela will be able to correct a clear error in a benefit decision to the recipient's detriment without their consent if the error is due to the client's own conduct. In addition, the payment of sickness allowance could be suspended or reduced more quickly than before when circumstances change, to prevent overpayments from accumulating.

Digitalising and clarifying occupational disease notifications
Doctors' obligation to notify the occupational safety and health authority will be restricted solely to occupational diseases, and notifications will be transmitted electronically via Kanta services. Reporting other work-related illnesses will become voluntary, and the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health will receive research data centrally from Kela.

Cheaper private doctors for over-65s
People aged 65 and over will be able to see a private general practitioner for the price of a public health centre client fee, and half the cost of examinations prescribed during the visit will be reimbursed. The amendment aims to speed up access to care for older people and reduce the burden on public primary healthcare.

Temporary increase in housing allowance heating costs
Heating costs and detached house maintenance expenses taken into account in the general housing allowance will be temporarily increased in 2023 due to expensive energy.
