Tightening conditions for family reunification
Conditions for family reunification for recipients of international protection will be tightened by requiring applicants to have secure means of support. Those granted asylum can only apply to bring their family to Finland without an income threshold if the application is submitted within three months of the protection decision.

Introducing administrative review for work permits

Reforming personal identity codes
Foreign nationals will be able to obtain a Finnish personal identity code more easily and quickly than before, for example through electronic remote registration. In addition, new personal identity codes will no longer indicate gender, and personal identity codes may no longer be used alone to identify a person.

Automatically extending residence permits for Ukrainians
Temporary protection residence permits for people who have fled the war in Ukraine will remain valid automatically without a separate application for an extension for as long as protection continues in the European Union.
